We had a great turnout at our Conservation Focus: Aerial Seeding Field Day yesterday in Walkersville! Farmers, partners, and community members came together to learn about the practical use of drones for aerial seeding, hear directly from service providers and fellow farmers, and share ideas on cover crops, frost seeding, and more.
A big thank you to Swift Aeroseed for their demonstration, our hosts for sharing their experiences and opening their farm, and to everyone who joined the conversation.
This event was made possible in part by support from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.

*Please note: Aerial seeding (airplanes, helicopters, drones) into to standing soybeans is not eligible for participation in the Maryland Department of Agriculture 2025/2026 Cover Crop program
